Opposition parties form new alliance against PPP in Sindh July 20, 2021 SUKKUR: The opposition parties in Sindh have decided to form a new political alliance against the ruling PPP and the first meeting was held in Larkana in this regard. The leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), GDA, Awami Tehreek and other political, religious and nationalist parties attended the meeting, hosted by the duo of Allama Rashid Mehmood Soomro and former Senator Safdar Abbasi. The meeting discussed the problems faced by the people of Sindh, especially rising poverty, corruption and acute water crisis. The leaders also expressed serious concerns over the sale of land and mineral resources in Sindh. Mumtaz Bhutto laid to rest July 20, 2021 SUKKUR: Former Sindh chief minister Mumtaz Ali Bhutto was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard, while the funeral was offered at his native village Mirpur Bhutto on Monday. Reports said a large number of people from all walks of life, including political personalities attended the funeral. The funeral was attended by Junior Zulfiqar (grandson of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto), former senator Dr Safdar Abbasi, Sindh MPA Moazzam Abbasi, JUI-F Molana Rashid Mehmood Soomro, PTI MPA Aslam Abro, Sardar Amir Khan Bhutto. The body was brought to his native village by his son Ali Haider Bhutto from Karachi to Mirpur Bhutto. It is pertinent to mention that the veteran politician fought against General Ayub Khan along with his cousin and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and later he became Sindh chief minister.

Daily Times July 20, 2021 Former Sindh chief minister Mumtaz Ali Bhutto was laid to rest after his funeral prayers were offered at his native village Mirpur Bhutto on Monday. A large number of people from all walks of life, including political personalities, attended the funeral prayers that was led by Maulana Ghulam Qadir Shah Jamkot. Important personalities that attended the funeral prayers included Junior Zulfiqar (grandson of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto), former senator Dr Safdar Abbasi, Sindh MPA Moazzam Abbasi, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F)’s Molana Rashid Mehmood Soomro. The body of Mumtaz Bhutto was brought to his native village by his son Ali Haider Bhutto through an ambulance. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed grief over the demise of the former Sindh CM. He also extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Mumtaz Bhutto passed away at his Karachi residence at the age of 94.
