March GST revenue collection hits a new Record:- The revenue generated through Goods and Service Tax (GST) for the month of March this year reached all time high and the revenue stands at 1,23,902 crores as per the reports coming from the Ministry of Finance today. The gross GST revenue collected in the month of March 2021 is at a record of Rs 1,23,902 crore of which CGST is Rs 22,973 crore, SGST is Rs 29,329 crore, IGST is Rs 62,842 crore (including Rs 31,097 crore collected on import of goods) and cess is Rs 8,757 crore (including Rs 935 crore collected on import of goods), told the official statement.

The government has settled Rs 21,879 crore to CGST and Rs 17,230 crore to SGST from IGST as a regular settlement. In addition, the Centre has also settled Rs 28,000 crore as IGST ad-hoc settlement in the ratio of 50:50 between Centre and States/UTs.

The Finance Ministry said on Thursday, Goods and service tax (GST) revenue touched an all-time high in March 2021, with the government collecting nearly Rs 1.23 lakh crore in March 2021. This is a 27% growth over the year-ago period.
GST collections for March are 27% higher than the same month last year and are 14% higher in January-March quarter FY21 versus the full fourth quarter for FY20. The Ministry has settled Rs 21,879 crore to CGST and Rs 17,230 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. The GST collections for March 2021 touched an all-time high of about Rs 1.23 trillion, the Finance Ministry said on Thursday.
The ministry said that in with the trend of recovery in the GST revenues over past five months, the revenues for the month of March 2021 are 27 per cent higher than the GST revenues in the same month last year.
