Trust Me, Yaw Gyampo, NDC Is Not the Least Bit Attractive Listen to article
He spent most of the last four years caustically lambasting the Akufo-Addo Administration, rather than proffering constructive criticism, so it comes as quite refreshing that Prof. Ransford Yaw Gyampo, the University of Ghana’s political scientist, should be offering the President what he deems or appears to be his candid opinion about what Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the leaders of the ruling New Patriotic Party need to do, if they are not to be completely overwhelmed by events going into the 2024 General Election (See “Appoint Dan Botwe as Chief-of-Staff – Gyampo to Akufo-Addo” Daily Mail / Ghanaweb.com 12/26/20).
Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin is a force to reckon with
Even before the just ended Parliamentary Elections, some of us had no doubt in our mind(s) that, he was going to garner more votes for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in the Presidential Elections.
The outstanding man in question is the obvious reason why, the National Democratic Congress in Effutu Constituency keeps changing Parliamentary candidates in every general election held in this country.
The records will show that, in 2012 when he contested for the first time in his early 30s as a young man, there was already an incumbent Member of Parliament who had served the NDC in diverse ways.
EC’s Jean Mensa going into the dock as NDC files election petition today
Barring any last minute changes, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today file a petition against the 2020 Presidential result declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) on Wednesday, December 9.
The Herald is informed that the party s lawyers led by Tsatsu Tsikata, will be focusing on the Chairperson of the Commission, Jean Mensa to justify the numbers and percentages she mentioned, as having been obtained by the various Presidential candidates.
This is not to overturn the Presidential results as declared but to establish the actual votes obtained by the two frontrunners in the election; Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and John Dramani Mahama of the NDC.
NDC Street Protests Are Already Out of Control Listen to article
He says that if the disgruntled members, supporters and sympathizers of his boss, namely, former President John “Akonfem-Kanazoe” Dramani Mahama, are not immediately placated, by having the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) make believe that, in fact, it was Little Dramani who won the 2020 Presidential Election, and not the incumbent President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, then the unmistakably criminally staged arsonist protests by National Democratic Congress’ members, supporters and sympathizers are certain to spiral out of control (See “NDC Protests May Get Out of Control – Asiedu-Nketia” 12/22/20).
Somebody needs to tell the dynastic General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress that there is absolutely nothing “spontaneous” about the Mahama-instigated dastardly protestations by the rank-and-file membership of the country’s main opposition political party. You see, there has never been
Was Afari-Gyan Naïve to Tell Akufo-Addo Supporters to Go to Court? Listen to article
He may be deeply afflicted with selective memory or conveniently selective amnesia, so somebody ought to remind the Executive-Director of the Human Rights and Governance Center civil society organization (CSO) or establishment, that it was the National Democratic Congress-appointed and longest-reigning Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, who first admonished disgruntled Akufo-Addo supporters and sympathizers not to waste their time and energy haggling over the outcome of the 2020 General Election but, rather, seek prompt redress from the courts. So, it is quaint and ironic for Mr. Martin Kpebu to assert that riotous members of the John Dramani Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) have an inalienable right to vent their spleen in the wake of the well-deserved defeat of their trial-and-error Presidential Candidate and party in the 2020 General Election, well before the leaders o
