The banks of the silvery Tay will give Scotland’s Kirk Moderator time for reflection during a six-hour walk for Christian Aid this weekend.
The Rt. Rev Dr Martin Fair has chosen the international development charity to benefit from his involvement in Scotland’s virtual Kiltwalk.
It takes place this weekend and the Hunter Foundation tops up monies raised by a further 50%.

Time: 2-3 hours I wanted some photographs of the southern reaches of Glen Shee but needed a bit of height. A look at the map showed what appeared to be a conical shaped hill jammed between Glen Shee and Glen Isla. It was called Mount Blair. The name of the hill is interesting. Some suggest it refers to a clearing while others say it means ‘plain hill’ or even ‘hill of the plain’. Certainly its western slopes lack any real discerning features so ‘plain hill’ could be justified. The eastern slopes, above Glen Isla, are made a little more interesting by the scoop of Corrie Vanoch, which is littered with ancient tumuli – cairns, hut circles and field systems.

Coronavirus cases have been identified in a Forfar health centre.
The cases were found in the Isla and Clova wards.
The centre has in-patient beds, including a four bedded hospice. It also offers a day centre for physically disabled adults, a minor injury unit, general and specialist outpatient services and a conference suit.
A health board spokeswoman said: “NHS Tayside’s Infection Prevention and Control Team was made aware of a number of cases of Covid-19 in staff and patients in Isla Ward and Clova Ward at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre earlier this month.
