Glenville State College is getting ready to celebrate a special time in the school s history. Dr. Mark Manchin s inauguration as Glenville State s 26th president, closely following that of United States President Joe Biden, will be part of a full week of events, starting April 5 with an all-college picnic and the crowning of homecoming royalty.
Festivities continue April 6 with the Pioneer Showcase, a day of student presentations of research and creative projects.
On April 7, faculty and staff will have a reception with the president and the first family and starting at 4 p.m. at the President s lawn. The following day, students are invited to dinner with the Manchins for a premium night at Mollohan’s Restaurant starting at 4:30 followed by entertainment in the Rusty Musket.
Suspect Who Rammed His Car Into U.S. Capitol Security Checkpoint Identified As 25-year-old Noah Green
The suspect’s social media posts revealed that he had been expressing his struggles in life.

: The suspect who rammed his car into a barricade outside the U.S. Capitol on Friday, killing one officer, has been identified as 25-year-old Noah Green from Indiana.

Noah Green, the suspect in the Friday attack on two U.S. Capitol Police officers, was a supporter of the Nation of Islam, and its leader Louis Farrakhan, the New York Times reported. Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam is a black nationalist movement and has been criticized for anti-Semitic teachings. Green’s Facebook account has since been removed.
Green, 25, was identified by law enforcement officials as the suspected attacker who rammed his car into two police officers, killing one and injuring the other. According to the New York Times, Green had made several posts on Facebook in support of Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.
