Many renters are coming from in state
MARSHFIELD This year s summer rental market is booked up. Many houses have been taken off the market completely or have reduced availability, but that doesn t mean thousands aren t looking for places for an in-state vacation this year.
Real estate agent Glenn McDonald said every place he knows is rented, including his own family s vacation home in Rexhame Beach. It s very difficult to find something for a weekly rental, he said. Extremely difficult. Everything I have is rented all the weeks right through September. There s not an empty place I know of.

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) When National Airlines Flight 193 crash landed in Escambia Bay on the night of May 8, 1978, the plane had 58 people onboard.
Passengers and crew members hurried out of the sinking Boeing 727 into the dark water alongside leaking fuel. Three people drowned, but the other 55 were saved by the quick work of a Pensacola tugboat captain.
Glenn McDonald, then 41, steered his tugboat to the wreckage and fished survivors out of the water and onto the safety of a small barge towed behind his vessel.
