After four years of planning, designing and panedmic-related setbacks, bicycle racks are finally being installed throughout the borough of Stroudsburg. “This is something we needed for our walk-able town,” said Stroudsburg Mayor Tarah Probst. “We are a recreational area and we are home to the famous Glen Park with all the great biking trails and biking clubs. We felt offering bike racks would also encourage more people to be physically active.” Probst said the racks were necessary for riders that wanted to bring their bikes downtown.  “It is illegal to lock up your bikes around light posts or utility poles, although we’ve been lenient because we didn’t have anything else,” Probst said. “It’s the right thing to do for our residents and the kids that bike here. If they want to come downtown they can bring their bikes and keep them safe.”
