Woman Dies in House Fire in Northern Broome County
Authorities are investigating a fatal residential fire near Broome County s Greenwood Park.
According to the sheriff s office, a woman died as a result of the blaze in a mobile home at 559 Caldwell Hill Road in the town of Lisle. The fire was reported around 12:05 a.m. Thursday.
The Glen Aubrey fire department was assisted at the scene by multiple other agencies.
After the fire was knocked down, the body of 71-year-old Sharon Humistan was found inside the residence. An autopsy determined she died as the result of asphyxiation due to carbon monoxide inhalation.

3:35 P.M. UPDATE:
TOWN OF MAINE (WBNG) Broome County Fire Investigators told 12 News no injuries were reported in the fire.
They said agencies received the call around 12:30 a.m. The fire damaged rooms in the back of the building, they said.
The cause is still under investigation.

Dispatch says there are no injuries to report, and the extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
