EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Evansville Central Dispatch confirmed a working structure fire was in progress on Thursday evening.
Officials say crews responded to a report of a structure fire on the 1600 block of Glendale Avenue around 5:45 p.m.
According to the Evansville Fire Department, firefighters who arrived on scene minutes later reported fire coming out of the front of the residence into the street.
Officials say the fire originated in a bedroom on the first floor before extending into the second floor. Firefighters say they believe the fire started on a mattress or bed.

The latest incident happened about 4 p.m. Wednesday on Triskett Road near Edolyn Avenue in the city’s Westpark neighborhood, according to a report from Cleveland police.
