Mid Ulster District Council is exploring the possibility of developing more wheelchair-accessible play facilities throughout the council area.
At last week s full council meeting, Chair Cathal Mallaghan raised the issue after being approached by a constituent at a event to launch new play equipment.
“It s come to my attention that there is a lack of wheelchair-accessible play equipment in the Mid Ulster area,” he told the meeting.
“One parent made me aware of a piece of equipment that can be used to put a wheelchair into a swing, and we don t have that.

Mulligan motion should be withdrawn, says councillor who brought it
Cllr Yvonne Boyle has called on the amendment passed at the Leisure and Development Committee to be withdrawn.

An Alliance councillor whose original motion sparked controversy over its subject s history as a slave owner has called for it to be withdrawn ahead of tonight s full council meeting.
An amendment to Alderman Yvonne Boyle s proposal at last month s Causeway Coast and Glens Leisure and Development Committee meant the council committed to explore the establishment of a heritage trail to Hercules Mulligan.
Mulligan, thought to have been born in Coleraine, was one of the American founding fathers and his character featured in a recent Broadway musical, Hamilton, on the subject.
He was the Ulster-born unsung hero of the American Revolution and one of its most important spies.
And while you may not have heard of Hercules Mulligan, it is a name you will be hearing a lot more of in the future if you visit the north coast.
The Irish-American tailor and spy during the American War of Independence is set to be honoured by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
Members of the council s leisure and development committee voted to recognise him in future heritage trails.
The late spy was born in Coleraine on September 15, 1740, to Hugh and Sarah Mulligan, and emigrated to north America with his family in 1746.
