A SECURITY alert in Lisburn has been declared an elaborate hoax.
Police were called to the Glenmore Park area of Lisburn shortly before 6.40am today while ammunition technical officers also attended the scene and a number of homes were evacuated.
PSNI Superintendent Mullan said “the object, which has been declared as an elaborate hoax, has been taken away for further forensic examinations.
