New grants of £10,000 to £40,000 for Gloucestershire businesses
A pot of £1 million is now available to help small and medium-sized county businesses grow in an innovative scheme dubbed Scale Up 4 Growth, being driven by Gloucestershire College

A new funding support programme has been launched by a partnership involving Gloucestershire College which will give small and medium-sized county businesses access to £1 million of grant funding.
Work begins on £3 million Institute of Technology at Gloucestershire College
Work has started at Gloucestershire College to create a £3 million Institute of Technology, with businesses claiming it will create a ‘critical talent pool’ in the county’s bid to become cyber capital of the UK.

First announced in April 2020, the redevelopment Gloucestershire College’s Cheltenham campus will see the creation of a new cyber and IT area, specialist computing labs, ‘attack and defence’ rooms, forensic tool kits, eco study pods, a dedicated entrance and an open study and networking area.

More than 1,000 emails from fraudsters pretending to be the NHS were reporter in 24 hours A cancer survivor from Stroud recieved a sick email promising her a Covid vaccine which was sent by a fraudster trying to obtain her personal details. Annie Lawrence , who had leukaemia twice when she was growing up in Stroud, is one of more than 1,100 people who were sent vaccine scam emails in England yesterday, according to Action Fraud. She has been shielding since March 2020 due to the after-effects of a bone marrow transplant, and had been looking forward to her vaccination until the scam left her feeling more vulnerable.
