Kroenke Group Says Arsenal Not For Sale Despite Fan Protests

Ek ready to make Kroenke very compelling Arsenal offer, saying he has secured the funds

What has been said? “I’ve been an Arsenal fan since I was eight,” said Ek. “Arsenal is my team. I love the history, I love the players and of course I love the fans. “So as I look at that, I just see a tremendous opportunity to set a real vision for the club to bring it back to its glory. “I want to establish trust with the fans. I want to engage the fans again. “I’m very serious. I have secured the funds for it and I want to bring what I think is a very compelling offer to the owners and I hope they hear me out.”

Spotify CEO Very Serious About Arsenal Takeover Bid – Channels Television

Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek says he wants to bring back the “glory” to Arsenal as he plans to test the resolve of the club’s American billionaire owner Stan Kroenke with a takeover bid. Kroenke, through his Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) business, has been the Gunners’ majority shareholder for a decade and took full control of the club by buying out Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov’s stake in 2018. Arsenal’s performances on the pitch have declined markedly during the Kroenke reign. The London club have not won a Premier League title since 2003/04 and are set to miss out on a top-four finish in the English top flight for a fifth consecutive season.

Men s Football Arsenal will benefit if Kroenke talks to fans, says Arteta

ARSENAL manager Mikel Arteta believes it will be in the club’s interest if its US owner, Stan Kroenke, speaks directly to the fans to improve relations after the ill-fated attempt to form a European Super League. Many Gunners fans are calling for Kroenke to quit because he was one of the instigators of the Super League project that would have ripped up the structures of the English and European game. Kroenke issued a statement on Tuesday, saying he is not interested in selling his majority stake in the London club amid interest from Spotify founder Daniel Ek. But that is unlikely to deter fans from continuing their protests, especially at Ashburton Grove on matchdays as was the case on Friday when Arsenal hosted Everton in the Premier League.
