Alleys in Monroeville targeted
Brush Creek Township trustees invite the residents from the Monroeville area to attend the April 14 meeting. This will be the opportunity for questions and answers regarding the closing of several alleys in this area. Residents will be given the chance to voice their opinions and sign the petition for the county commissioners to complete the process. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the senior center.
Corn beef and cabbage for St. Pat’s

Bay and Saginaw counties will be receiving funding as a part of the COVID-19 relief package that signed into law by President Joe Biden Thursday, March 11.

BAY CITY, MI - Communities in Bay and Saginaw counties are slated to receive sizable chunks of funding as a part of the COVID-19 relief package that was signed into law by President Joe Biden on Thursday, March 11.
The funding is a part of H.R. 1319, or “The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.” The plan provides additional relief to address the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy, public health, state and local governments, individuals and businesses, according to a press release from the White House.
Only voters in the village of Burbank and Sugar Creek Township will head to the polls on May 4.
Burbank voters will cast ballots at the Canaan Free Will Baptist Church at 12723 Cleveland Road, Creston. Two issues are on the ballot.
The first is a five-year, 3-mill levy for parks and recreation expenses. The second is a five-year, 5-mill renewal levy and 2.5-mill increase for police expenses. The village contracts with the Wayne County Sheriff to provide law enforcement services.
Sugar Creek Township will open polling stations at the Dalton Presbyterian Church at 163 W. Main St. in Dalton, P. Graham Dunn at 630 Henry St. in Dalton and the Kidron Community Center at 4434 Kidron Road in Kidron.
