A light heavyweight fight between Ion Cutelaba and Devin Clark is being targeted for an upcoming UFC event on May 1.
MMA DNA first reported the news, though the UFC is yet to confirm the fight. The UFC event on May 1 is without a location or venue to its name yet.
Cutelaba (15-6, 1NC) fought twice last year, losing both his fights to Magomed Ankalev. The first fight controversially stopped, but there were no complaints in the rematch at UFC 254 as Ankalaev won by first-round KO. The Moldovan’s last UFC win came against Khalil Rountree in September 2019.

Kickboxing legend Gokhan Saki has been released by the UFC, and is seemingly plotting a return to the sport that made him a superstar.
Saki, the 2008 K-1 World Grand Prix Champion and former Glory Light Heavyweight Champion, signed with the UFC to much acclaim in 2017. He made his debut with the promotion in Japan in September of that year, weathering some early adversity to turn the lights out on Henrique da Silva in the waning moments of the first round.
Saki then returned to the Octagon in July of 2018, when he succumbed to a volley of first-round punches from Khalil Rountree in a shocking loss. He has not fought since then, having been sidelined by a string of injuries.

UFC 257 injuries and medical suspensions were submitted to MixedMartialArts.com earlier this week for those athletes competing at the “Poirier vs. McGregor 2” pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place this past weekend (Sat., Jan. 23, 2021) from inside Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi.
Not surprisingly, a fair share of combatants were handed mandatory timeouts, including lightweight headliner Conor McGregor, who could be out of action until late June as result of injuries sustained against opponent Dustin Poirier. “The Diamond,” however, was only benched seven days.
