OTOY says it has launched new GPU rendering software for MacOS, aimed at providing macOS users with what it says provides what it claims is the fastest spectral GPU renderer on macOS Big Sur. the company said its new software, Octane X, is available on the Mac App Store for free. The new tool integrates with such 3D content creation tools as Cinema4D, SketchUp, Maya, Houdini, Blender, Modo, Nuke, Unreal Engine and Unity. The company says its tool connects to RNDR, a blockchain GPU rendering platform; the tool also connects to the NFT trend, allowing Mac artists to publish NFT CryptoArt on the blockchain.

While the GPUs were supposed to launch at affordable to premium prices, scalpers have reportedly been reselling the GPUs starting from premium to extra premium prices.

According to the story by PC Mag, scalpers last mid-September have reportedly been reselling the Nvidia RTX 3080 on Ebay for a price ranging from $1,300 to $1,500. This is almost double the original SRP of $699 up to $869 depending on the said model.
