By Karen Sharp Photo: Getty Images Qatar s Mutaz-Essa Barshim and Italy s Gianmarco Tamberi both had high jumps of 2.37 meters and both of them wanted to beat that and clear 2.39 meters but unfortunately they both failed on their first try. In order for one of them to take the gold home they would of had to do a jump-off, each taking turns until they beat the score. But instead, Barshim had a better idea and asked if they could just share the gold medal and of course Tamberi agreed with that idea.  The judge said they could definitely share the gold medal, Italian high jumper Tamberi ran to his opponent Barshim and gave him the biggest hug, then he ran around the stadium in excitement. Barshim literally broke down in tears.
