FSU MLK week reflects on Martin Luther King Jr.’s principles of nonviolence and honors black women
Aurelie Jean Baptiste
It is an understatement to say that we live in uncertain times. Although COVID-19 and political pressure has challenged the future of our country, we look to the leaders in our lives to continue to inspire us to rise above our differences and disagreements. One of the leaders that have inspired change despite great opposition during his time was Martin Luther King Jr.
As the time to reflect on King approaches, Florida State University will honor Martin Luther King Jr. by hosting its 33rd annual MLK week. The celebrations will be starting on Monday, Jan.18 with a drive-through parade and concluding on Friday, Jan. 22.
