A bubble tea store where a female employee was allegedly slapped and kicked has claimed the man charged with her assault is not one of their workers.
The Fun Tea store in Gouger Street, Adelaide, posted a statement on their front window on Wednesday after the man was arrested, where they also denied the alleged attack was over a wage dispute.
The business said the 39-year-old man accused of assault was a customer who had previously got into an argument with the female worker, 20. During the incident, one of our four female employees was allegedly struck by a customer, the statement from the business read.
An exploited Chinese worker has been violently slapped by her boss in a shocking viral video, after complaining she was under paid and being exploited.

Police are investigating after a 22-year-old woman was kicked in the stomach at work, after allegedly asking to be paid for the trial shifts she worked at Adelaide bubble tea shop, Fun Tea.
Footage of the Friday night incident and the brawl which ensued first gained traction on AdelaideBBS, a Chinese-language online portal in South Australia.
