Koehler, founder of the Koehler Company, died Sunday at the age 91. For many, that imprint was the result of years of loyalty to not only his family but to his business, to the local schools and to the community. Among those privileged to see those loyalties unfold throughout the community is Ron Heinemeyer. Heinemeyer says although he and Koehler have worked alongside many projects, it is their friendship that he will miss the most.

Kohler Company expands generator facility in town of Mosel

KOHLER - Kohler Company is working on its second major expansion in the last eight years.  A 155,000-square-foot project is currently underway at the company s existing North American generator manufacturing facility in the town of Mosel, according to a news release. The new space will house a customer experience center, more warehouse space and increased production and testing space.  The expansion will help meet the growing demand for integrated power systems and large industrial diesel generators  greater than 2,000 kilowatts. Kohler Co. is the only manufacturer creating these types of generators at a single facility, the news release said. In the new space, assembly, testing and enclosing of large generator sets will be safer and more efficient, the release said.
