AMSTERDAM, N.Y. â Rep. Paul D. Tonko announced a slate of 10 improvement and community development projects, compiled from across the Capital Region, that he is submitting to the House Committee on Appropriations in a bid to bring direct federal investment to the region under the committeeâs new Community Project Funding (CPF) process.
âWith the right combination of visionary leadership and investment in our communities, we can unleash the untapped potential all across our Capital Region in ways that will help our people, businesses and industries grow and thrive,â Tonko said.
âIn the weeks ahead, I will be working tirelessly to put federal tools and resources into the hands of the local leaders who proposed these worthy projects and know how to put federal resources to work quickly and efficiently. Together, we will uplift our communities and get our economy roaring back, Tonko explained.Â
