Conference on Planet, People, Peace (P3) arrives in Costa Rica next week October 5, 2017 Costa Rica is ready to host a new edition of the prestigious International Conference on Sustainable Tourism: Planet, People, Peace (P3), which is taking place 9-11 October in San José, the country’s capital city. The forum, which will be attended by Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organisation(UNWTO) Taleb D. Rifai, further strengthens Costa Rica’s position as a benchmark in integrated sustainable tourism in the world. The sixth edition of the P3 Conference is welcoming 25 international entrepreneurs and world leaders, including respected global strategic advisor Anita Mendiratta and Shannon Stowell, Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), together with Mr. Rifai.  The goal of the three-day event is to exchange knowledge and experiences and to generate innovative projects that make a commitment to sustainability, both individually and socially.

Below are Costa Rica’s coronavirus measures for May 2021 (as of May 11): Travel and borders Costa Rica is welcoming tourists who arrive via flights (commercial or private) or boats (yachts or sailboats). A negative coronavirus test is not required, but visitors are required to purchase insurance covering their stay in Costa Rica. The land borders reopened to arriving tourists in April. Residents and citizens can also enter via land borders. There are no quarantine requirements in place for anyone who enters the country who is not exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19. Driving restrictions Monday: Vehicles with plates ending in 1 and 2 cannot circulate.
