An email was sent to members discussing the factors that led to the decision to close the photo department. Since the introduction of camera phones and social media, the need for printing photos has steeply declined, even though the number of pictures taken continues to grow. After careful consideration, we have determined the continued decline of prints no longer requires on-site photo printing.
Costco advises for customers to pick up remaining photo orders by March 28th.

Costco Is Shuttering All of Their Photo Departments Locations
An email is circulating to all Costco members discussing the closure of the photo departments.
The services that are getting shuttered or discontinued as of February 14th are ink refill, passport photos, photo restoration, and YesVideo Home Movie transfer service.
In the same email, Costco says they are continuing several services on the Costco Photo Center website.
Services like prints, enlargements, posters, stationary and photo greeting cards, canvas, metal and acrylic paint, photo books and calendars, photo blankets, and other photo gifts and business printing products will still be available.
You can access those services on the Costco Photo Center website but after today, the physical photo center will be shutting down.
