Local News Briefs: Minor injuries in crash
Staff Report
Minor injuries in crash
COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office reported a one-vehicle crash at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 36, near County Road 27.
Authorities stated Andrew Roy, 27, of South Point, was traveling east in a 2008 Chevrolet when he lost control. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole and came to rest in a field.
The sheriff s office said Roy was treated on scene for minor injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Tyler Baisden of Columbus, was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
COSHOCTON – It was, in many ways, an extraordinary upbringing for her current job – though no one could foresee it at the time.
“I was the son my father never had,” began Stacie Stein. “I had a curiosity with how things were put together and how they operated.
“My dad’s father had a workbench in his basement and a lot of hand tools,” she continued. “He was always building something. My sister and I were allowed to take a few pieces of wood and create something.
“My dad was an Eagle Scout and his father a Scout Master,” she added, “so I learned how to do all kinds of things outdoors that involved nature, trees and plants.”
