Local News Briefs: Sheriff s Office handles three crashes

COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office reported three crashes on Tuesday.
The first occurred at 7:13 a.m. in the 21000 block of Jackson Township Road 283. Lisa Murray of Coshocton swerved to miss a deer, overcorrected and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on its top. Murray was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries. Assisting on scene were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department and Prince s Wrecker Service.

Quirky fundraiser for those don t want to run a 5K
Tricycle obstacle race returning this year
Coshocton United Way have a 0.5K, spoof of a 5K, on Aug. 14 in Roscoe Village.
A tricycle obstacle race with elected officials to benefit the United Way will be on Sept. 18 at the court square.
The United Way has a $300,000 goal for the upcoming fundraising campaign. The 0.5K will be the kickoff event.
Donations were down last campaign, as $285,000 was raised of the $325,000 goal.
