ATLANTA As the town of Newnan continues to rebuild after a deadly tornado swept through the area, just a few months back, hometown music icon Alan Jackson is doing his part to help.
Over the weekend, Jackson announced on his website that he will host a special concert to benefit relief efforts in Coweta County.
“Where I Come From: Tornado Benefit Featuring Alan Jackson will find the superstar bringing three decades of hits to the stage in an area recently ravaged and still recovering from a devastating spring tornado,” Jackson announced.

ATLANTA Remaining six feet apart, limiting capacity, and wearing a face-covering in classrooms have all become a part of life.
But now, many metro Atlanta schools are removing the mask mandate for vaccinated students following guidance recently released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The CDC, on Thursday, eased mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to stop wearing masks outdoors in crowds and in most indoor settings.
Georgia has already opened up vaccine appointments to adolescents, with both Pfizer’s and Moderna making it clear that kids 12 and older will receive the exact same two-dose vaccine regimen as adults.

ATLANTA When people panic buy and hoard gas they, are taking it away from others who need it right now. That includes essential workers and every day heroes.
Some hospitals are even adjusting their employee schedules to keep up.
In a statement a spokesperson provided to 11Alive, they explained: Patient-facing employees will remain on duty until they are approved to be released by their managers in order to ensure the continuous care we always provide to our pediatric patients. We are also encouraging employees to consider carpool options. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will make adjustments as needed.
