Thiruvananthapuram, April 13 : Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who turned Covid positive and is convalescing at a private hospital here since Thursday, continues to be under the close monitoring of a team of doctors. A leading gastroenterologist was summoned from Kochi to examine him after he developed gall bladder issues, which he has been having for a while. A medical board is closely monitoring him and is doing regular reviews, said a doctor treating Chandy.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 9 : The health condition of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his predecessor senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy, who had both tested Covid positive, was stable, said health officials on Friday.
Both tested Covid positive on Thursday and were admitted in two different hospitals,.
While Vijayan admitted at the Kozhikode Medical College is being monitored by a seven-member medical team, Chandy is admitted at a private hospital in the state capital.
A source told that Chandy was cheerful, reading newspapers and watching TV in his room with his son giving him company.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has tested positive for coronavirus. The chief minister had taken the first dose of vaccine against Covid-19 on March 3. Vijayan is currently asymptomatic. Currently, the chief minister is asymptomatic. But he is likely to be shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College, news agency PTI quoted CMO sources, as saying.
His daughter Veena Vijayan and son-in-law P A Mohammed Riyas had earlier tested positive.
CM Vijayan had extensively travelled across the state as part of the electioneering for the Assembly polls which was held on April 6. The counting of votes will be held on May 2.
