The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance to identify and locate the suspect of ongoing diesel theft from an Alton business.
A suspect was recently observed on surveillance footage unlawfully entering the property of a construction business on the 1000 block of Fowler Lane, near Alton. The surveillance footage depicts a male suspect stealing diesel from a concrete truck. According to the business, the theft is believed to have been ongoing for approximately two weeks prior to capturing the suspect on video. The suspect is believed to have stolen over 200 gallons of diesel during that time.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The following is a list of the long term and short term projects the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled for the week around Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra and El Dorado County. At this time there is no work scheduled for the South Lake Tahoe area.
LONG-TERM PROJECTS
U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $53.6 million safety project in the Camino area to replace the existing concrete median barrier and fill in the gaps in the barrier, build an undercrossing, a wildlife crossing, make local road improvements and replace culverts. The project is expected to be completed in 2022. No traffic-interfering work is scheduled on the highway. Westbound Carson Road is closed between Carson Court and Sierra Blanca Road for bridge work. Motorists are being detoured onto westbound Highway 50 and back onto Carson Road.
