WADESBORO An Alabama super-fan and Wadesboro native passed away suddenly on Friday, April 2, shocking the nation and bringing up concern of a potential COVID-related death.
Senior Cameron Luke Ratliff, 23, was set to graduate from the University of Alabama in August with a degree in public relations. During his four years in Tuscaloosa, Ratliff became known as Fluff, or Fluffopotamus88 on social media, a beloved die-hard Crimson Tide fan.
Funeral Arrangements Set for Luke Ratliff
The funeral arraignments for Alabama basketball super fan Cameron Luke Fluffapotamus Ratliff have been set. Ratliff tragically passed away last week at 23-years old from complications due to Covid-19.
The service will take place on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET at First Baptist Church in his hometown of Wadesboro, North Carolina and will be open to the public.

For those in Tuscaloosa who are unable to attend the service but still want to pay their respects, it will be streamed from Capstone Church at 4115 Watermelon Road in Northport.
While speaking on Tuesday night s edition of Tide 100.9 s Tidal Talk, Luke s mother, Pamela Ratliff stated that the Arkansas basketball program purchased a floral arrangement for the funeral and included enough overage in the payment to cover all of the flowers for the service.

Ratliff joined Steve Shannon on 95.3 The Bear in early March to hype up Alabama nation prior to the Tide's SEC Tournament championship run. It was there he expressed his gratitude to the Crimson Tide basketball program.

I have always loved sports. It has been something that has shaped my life and even my decision making at times. My wife and I had our first date at a Major League Baseball game and were avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers season ticket holders until moving to Alabama. Local sports has always been a passion of mine, but no one personified passion like Luke.
