MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Ohio State got a trio of two-run homers and a strong outing from starter Will Pfennig as the Buckeyes earned a split this weekend with a 6-4 win over Nebraska.
After dropping the first two games on Friday, the Buckeyes rebounded with two wins and are now 5-3 through the first two weekends. Nebraska lost for just the second time this season.
Junior Will Pfennig allowed a pair of runs on four hits in the first inning but then settled in. He retired the next 15 batters and left the game with two outs and a 4-2 lead in the seventh. The Mason, Ohio native went 6.2 innings, allowing just the two runs on five hits with six strikeouts and no walks.

Minneapolis – A trio of two-run home runs from the Ohio State Buckeyes doomed the Nebraska baseball team in its first of two games on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium, as Buckeyes posted a 6-4 win. The Huskers tied the game, 4-4, in the bottom of the seventh with a solo home run from
