Plan for 66 homes in village near Grantham is approved
A proposed 66-house development has won the approval of a planning committee.
Larkfleet Homes wants to build a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom properties on land next to Corby Glen Fire Station.
The 2.65 hectare site, made up of two fields, is part of a wider slice of land which could eventually bring an extra 250 homes to the village.

Speaking at a meeting of South Kesteven District Councilâs planning committee on Wednesday (January 20), Coun Phil Dilks (Ind - Deeping St James) said he particularly welcomed sustainability mentioned in the planning application, which could see measures used to make the development more water-efficient, and electric car charging points
Fire crews tackle blaze in barn near Colsterworth

Two fire crews were called out to tackle a stack fire within a barn this morning (Saturday, January 23).
Firefighters from Grantham and Corby Glen attended the scene on Colsterworth Road, Stainby, shortly before 10.30am.
The crews used two hose reels to extinguish the blaze. The fire has caused moderate damage to four bales.

After visiting the tea room in Corby Glen, judges placed the business in first place of the Customer Service category.

125 new homes approved across South Kesteven
Coming to Corby Glen, Grantham and Bourne
Councillors have approved plans to build 125 homes across three areas in South Kesteven.
66 homes will be built in Corby Glen, 40 in Grantham and 19 in Bourne.
South Kesteven District Council’s Planning Committee on Wednesday unanimously approved the 66 and 19 homes, while the 40 homes application in Grantham was more controversial.
