This April, a feature residency hums in Bodriggy’s old mechanic shop. Don Glori’s lead bassist Gordon Li has programmed 5 weeks of music featuring different bands that he plays with & enjoys the music of, who’s music traverses different genres from funk, soul, disco, electronica and more.
Don Glori make carefully considered compositions that facilitate heavy doses of improvisation. Don Glori’s music reflects a deep fascination in jazz, house and Brazilian music. Tied together by Gordon’s his inimitable spirit and dedication to making it groove.
Li/Ferguson/Telfer/Kennedy: A new ensemble comprising of Gordon Li, Grace Ferguson, Pat Telfer and Al Kennedy. All accomplished performers and composers in their own right. Expect improvised ambient and electronic music with live sound manipulation.
