Something went wrong - please try again later. Sign Up Increasing government legislation is deterring Scottish landowners from letting out land to tenant farmers, warns an Aberdeenshire estate owner. Gordon Morison from BMF Group, based at Frendraught near Huntly, said legislation and restrictions were stifling the Scottish tenant farming sector. “Our business manages approximately 13,000 acres all together and most of that is in the arable sector,” said Mr Morison. “It has been owned by the Morison family for over 400 years and for the vast majority of that time 90% of the area was let. Our core business is to let land.”
