The Reverend W J Thompson, BA, the new minister of College Square Presbyterian Church in Belfast has been cordially welcomed at a meeting of the congregation which had been held in the lecture hall in Albert Street.
The Reverend Gordon Young, BA, who presided at the meeting described the new minister as a crusader in the cause of Christianity, temperance and social welfare.
The Reverend Young added that we was assured that by his ministry at College Square that Mr Thompson would “exceed the great expectations” which were centred on him at that time, he remarked that he was sure that the minister would be able to rely on the “support, sympathy and assistance” of his congregation.
