The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the second time this season, the first year the racetrack has hosted two Cup events since 2010. Atlanta is an abrasive track that causes tires to wear down quickly, so a repave was inevitable. However, the speedway will do a bit more than that for next year’s races.
