More Hill Republicans Voted Against Wasteful Spending in 2020, but Supported Earmarks
Congressional Republicans voted much more strongly against wasteful federal spending in the months leading up to the 2020 election than they did in 2019, according to data compiled by Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW).
Many of the same Republicans in the House, however, voted earlier this year to support a Democratic proposal to restore earmarks, the individual provisions in much larger bills that direct tax dollars to projects in an individual congressman’s state or district, often inserted by congressional leaders in return for the member’s support of the overall measure.

Once they saw the numbers come in indicating a Trump landslide, panicked corrupt election officials from swing states held a Zoom conference call with the Biden campaign and/or the DNC and Big Tech companies to pause the vote count. The conference call agreed that by pausing the vote and getting the Big Tech and establishment media onboard, was a much better course of action than to have Trump win and then they d be up feces creek.
In May 2019, as Democrats in the Colorado General Assembly advanced a bill launching the state’s efforts to ensure a “just transition” for coal workers impacted by the shift to clean energy, Republicans were incensed.
In a tense, late-night floor debate over House Bill 19-1314, which created a new Office of Just Transition in the state’s labor department, Senate Republicans called the legislation “laughable” and “offensive.” It was an “insulting and egregious bill.” Senator Bob Gardner, a Republican from El Paso County, advised Democratic lawmakers traveling to the communities impacted by the bill to “leave town pretty quickly,” because “your welcome might be pretty short.”
