Two young children are recovering in hospital after eating suspected cannabis jellies.
The children, aged three and four-years-old, were rushed to hospital after eating the sweets in the Coolock area of Dublin last night.
They are now being cared for at Temple Street Children s Hospital.
No arrests have yet been made; however, a person, not related to the family is helping Gardai with their inquiries.
Tusla, the Child and Family Agency has been notified.
In a statement, Gardaí said cannabis edibles are a “relatively new trend in Ireland” and reminded the public that they are illegal.

TWO young children were rushed to hospital after potentially eating weed jellies in Dublin overnight.
The boys, aged three and four, were staying at a premises in Coolock, north Dublin, when they were believed to have consumed the sweets.

Emergency services were called to the scene and brought to Temple Street Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
Gardai say no arrests have been made but a person, not related to the kids, are helping enquiries.
The Child and Family Agency Tusla has also been informed of the incident.

They were following up on reports of two young children eating what may have been jellies containing THC.
Emergency services attended the scene and the 3 and 4-year-old boys were taken to Temple Street Children s Hospital where they continue to receive medical attention.
No arrests have been made and someone not related to the children is helping Gardai with their inquiries.
