Retailers and shoppers disappointed but accepting of reintroduction of restrictions

We are very disappointed, said Joan Doyle of O Kelly s jewellers on Bray s Main Street on the latest restrictions placed on retailers. We re a small family business and we ve been in Bray since the 1950s, she said, speaking last Thursday on the final day of opening. It will definitely be hard, said Joan. ;Myself, my son Sean and my two brothers are all involved in it so the whole family is now back on the PUP probably. They will try click and collect, which worked well in November, although in November people were buying Christmas presents. January is a lean month at the best of times, said Joan.
