Box Hill made it two on the trot by beating Sandringham by 30 points in the VFL.
Daniel Howe threw his hat back in the ring for the Hawks with 30 touches and a goal while Conor Nash took nine marks and had 20 disposals.
Box Hill players Fergus Greene and Vincent Adduci combined for nine goals with Hawks-listed forward Tyler Brockman chipping in with two.
For Sandy, Luke Dunstan continued his strong form with 35 possessions and three goals in a dominant display following on from 46 touches in Round 2.

THERE WAS A winning start for Dubliner
James Madden to his AFL career on a busy day of action for Irish players in Aussie Rules action.
Madden made his bow for Brisbane Lions in their Round 7 clash with Port Adelaide at the Gabba.
And the Lions cruised to victory, 93-44, with Madden contributing 11 disposals from his interchange role.
The Ballyboden St-Enda’s club man signed for Brisbane in August 2018 after impressing for the Dublin minor footballers and at the AFL European Combine in UCD in December 2017.

DUBLINER JAMES MADDEN is set to make his AFL debut for Brisbane Lions this weekend, named on the interchange bench for the Round 7 clash with Port Adelaide at the Gabba.

Like every other sport in the country right now, rugby is facing major challenges on the back of Covid-19, and with no end point yet in sight, the knock-on effects will be felt for years to come.
While the professional game is providing some relief from the increasing levels of life’s daily pressures, the schools’ and club games remain at a halt.
For the IRFU, this throws up all sorts of problems, not least in terms of the National Talent Squad (NTS) programme, which has become the cornerstone for producing stars of the future.
Not every young player will be as naturally gifted or automatically drawn to rugby as say, James Ryan or Garry Ringrose, and with no games or proper on-field training programmes currently permitted to take place under Government restrictions, the IRFU are very mindful of the risks of teenagers turning away from rugby.
