Moe, Nachbaur and Paddock wrap up WHL careers
The strangest season in Prince Albert Raiders history concluded on Wednesday night with one of the most bizarre contests the team has ever taken part in.
With the team holding a 5-3 lead over the Swift Current Broncos at the 8:01 mark of the third period, Raiders netminder Max Paddock was given a snow shower by Broncos forward Josh Davies and proceeded to pummel him in the face as both players were down in the crease during a post-whistle scrum.
As a result of the play, Davies was given a two-minute minor for unsportsmanlike conduct, but Paddock was given a five-minute match penalty and a game misconduct for what the officials deemed as an attempt to injure.

REGINA - Three goals by Cole Nagy, including the game-winner in the third period, gave the Swift Current Broncos a 4-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in Western Hockey League play on Sunday.
Nagy put Swift Current (6-16-1) ahead 2-1 in the second period and made it 3-2 in the third before completing his hat trick with an empty-net goal. Raphael Pelletier also scored for the Broncos, who have won two in a row.
Riley Crane and Cole Jordan found the back of the net for Moose Jaw (8-13-2), who have lost three straight and seven of their last eight.

Four unanswered power-play goals late in the second and early in the third period by the Brandon Wheat Kings, lead to a 5-1 loss for the Regina Pats Sunday night.
With the win the Wheat Kings have clinched first place in the WHL East Division hub.
Tanner Howe scored the lone goal for the Pats, his first in the WHL.
The Pats who are now 9-11-2-1, will play their final game of the season Tuesday evening against the Winnipeg Ice (16-5-1-0).

REGINA - Braden Schneider scored 2:30 into overtime to secure Brandon s come-from-behind victory over Prince Albert on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.
The Wheat Kings (17-3-2-0) were behind 4-3 with time winding down in the third period when Ben McCartney netted the equalizer with 5:21 to play.
Schneider scored the OT winner exactly midway through the extra frame. It was the second time in a week Schneider was the overtime hero after sinking the Winnipeg Ice last Sunday.
Lynden McCallum scored twice for Brandon and Nate Danielson had three assists.
Max Paddock stopped 29-of-34 shots for Prince Albert (8-10-3-1).
