3 dead, 17 injured in road accident in Andhra s West Godavari ANI | Updated: Mar 07, 2021 13:05 IST
West Godavari (Andhra Pradesh) [India], March 7 (ANI): Three people died while 17 suffered injuries in a road accident near Buttayigudem of West Godavari district on Sunday.
The accident took place in the morning when a lorry hit a tractor on the road, Narayan Naik, Superintendent of Police, West Godavari informed. A group of 60 people were travelling in 3 tractors from Krishna district to Gubbala Mangamma Temple near Buttayigudem this morning. One of the tractors stopped roadside around 4 am. The lorry from Odisha hit the parked tractor, said Naik. A girl, an old man and a woman died while the condition of the other two is critical, he added.

Municipal Corporator murdered in Andhra Pradesh s Kakinada ANI | Updated: Feb 12, 2021 13:36 IST
East Godavari (Andhra Pradesh) [India], February 12 (ANI): Kakinada ninth ward Corporator Kampara Ramesh was murdered on Thursday midnight around 2:30 am in Andhra Pradesh s Kakinada city, the police said.
Speaking to ANI over phone, Kakinada Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Bhimarao said that the ward corporator was hit by a car near a car repair shed. Before the murder, Ramesh had consumed liquor in the same shed with some friends. When they were about to leave the place, a verbal brawl took place that lead to the mishap, Kakinada DSP said.

Andhra govt offices receive bomb threat call, turns out to be hoax ANI | Updated: Feb 06, 2021 23:48 IST
West Godavari (Andhra Pradesh) [India], February 6 (ANI): Two government offices at Nidadavole town of West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday received a bomb threat call but it turned out to be a hoax, police said. Higher officials at Eluru said that Tehsildar and Sub-registrar offices in Nidadavole town received a bomb threat call today noon, Nidadavole sub-inspector Jagadeeswara Rao told ANI over the phone. We immediately rushed bomb squads to those offices. The offices were thoroughly checked. There are no bombs, Rao said.
