ATLANTA, GA Grab some blankets, wake up the kids (or hire a sitter) and head out to a dark sky area to take in one of the greatest sky shows of the year the annual Geminid meteor shower, which peaks over the Atlanta region Sunday into Monday, but continues through the week.
The National Weather Service forecast for the Atlanta area is a mix. Sunday night expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. On Monday night your viewing chances are great with mostly clear skies and a low around 35.
