A plan to build a unique tourist attraction that would take 42 people at a time high into the sky over Bristol city centre looks set to be turned down by council planners this week.
Thatâs despite widespread support for The Arc project from business leaders, tourism chiefs and even the Dean of Bristol Cathedral.
The Arc is a passenger pod that is lifted into the sky on a pivot based above We The Curious in Bristolâs Millennium Square area, and nothing like it has ever really been built in Britain before.
