FORT COLLINS In one of the last meetings before the current term expires, the Fort Collins City Council will consider whether to take a role in helping the residents of the Hickory Village mobile home park in buying the property for themselves versus having a new owner.
In agenda documents ahead of the Tuesday meeting, city staff said the operator of the mobile-home park at 400 Hickory St. on the far-north side of the city agreed to sell the property underneath the homes to a corporate operator on March 3 for $23 million. The property currently holds 205 units.
The sale has not yet been recorded in Larimer County records. The buyer’s identity has not been disclosed.

Former Fort Collins City Council member Kelly Ohlson is set to return to the District 5 council seat, beating out opponent Jeff Hansen with more than 67% of the vote.
Ohlson won 3,193 votes to Hansen s 1,539 votes, according to unofficial results posted Wednesday morning.
District 5 covers central-west Fort Collins and is currently represented by term-limited mayor pro-tem Ross Cunniff, who endorsed Ohlson.
Ohlson is a former Fort Collins mayor, mayor pro-tem and council member who finished his last term in 2013 due to term limits. Hansen is the chair of Fort Collins’ Planning and Zoning Board, which he’s served on for over seven years.
