4 deaths, 399 new cases reported 6 Hrs Ago Four new deaths and 399 new cases of covid19 have been reported in the Health Ministry’s covid19 update for Wednesday. The total number of deaths is now 189. Of the new deaths, two were elderly males, one with comorbidities, one middle-aged female with comorbidities, and one middle aged male without comorbidities. Of the 399 cases, two were recently repatriated cases. The total number of active cases is 3,024. Since March, there have been 12,105 cases, of which 8,892 have recovered. There are 276 people in hospital. There are 120 people in the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility, ten in the intensive care unit and 30 in the high dependency unit. There are 77 at the Caura Hospital, 39 at the Augustus Long Hospital, 18 at the Arima Hospital, 21 at the Scarborough Regional Hospital, Fort King George, and one at the Scarborough General Hospital, Signal Hill.
