After a year full of uncertainty and unprecedented operating hours, here s a list of what s open and what s closed on Friday, Christmas Day, and Saturday, Boxing Day.
Retail and grocery
Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore, Walmart and most other stores are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Fredericton s Regent Mall and Moncton s CF Champlain mall close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and reopen on Dec. 27.
From Codiac Transpo: “As of January 2, 2021, Codiac Transpo fares will increase. This is the final year of fare increases as part of a five-year fare strategy that was approved in 2016. 2021 fares are as follows: Cash fare- $3 Adult monthly pass- $67 Senior monthly pass- $52 Student monthly.
20-ride pass- $42
We will continue to provide free service on Wednesdays to all seniors age 65 and older, discounts on monthly passes to seniors and students, free service to children age 5 and under, CNIB cardholders/attendants, as well as reduced day care rates.
Despite the increases for 2021, Codiac Transpo will continue to have the lowest fares for all multi-ride passes in New Brunswick.”
