(Tarrant County, TX) – A person detained by the police for certain low-level, misdemeanor crimes in Tarrant County may now be issued a citation, instead of being immediately arrested.
The change is part of a law called Cite and Release that was passed by the Texas Legislature in 2007. Under the law, a defendant charged with some Class A and B misdemeanor offenses is eligible for a citation, rather than an immediate arrest. Tarrant County Law Enforcement Executives, Tarrant County magistrates and the Criminal District Attorney’s Office worked together in recent months to determine how it will be implemented.

Keaton Stone is the definition of consistency. On the football field he’s an iron man, one who never seemed to come off the field. That in turn helped Stone and the Cody Bronc Football team capture a state title. The trophies don’t stop there. Over the weekend Stone was named to the first team of the Casper Star-Tribune Super 25 as one of the best players in the state of Wyoming. He along with Nic Talich combined to be one of the most lethal linebacker duos the Cowboy State had to offer. I was able to catch up with Cody’s Linebacker/Tight End to talk to him about the first team selection and more. Stone on what it means to be recognized as one of the top 25 player in the state.
