MidCoast Council
Lansdowne’s water supply will be interrupted on Wednesday 28 April while MidCoast Council repairs a number of stop valves in the area.
This will involve isolating the town water supply at various points to undertake the critical repair work and will mean some parts of Lansdowne will be without water pressure throughout the day.
The interruption will begin at 9am and is expected to continue until around 3pm.
“This important repair work will ensure the water network in Lansdowne remains in good working order and will significantly reduce the risk of any unplanned outages occurring in the future,” said Council’s Director of Infrastructure and Engineering, Rob Scott.
Battling department chain Target has revealed its long term business focus will be online sales as it pushes forward with plans to close 167 stores across Australia.
Ian Bailey, who oversees the operation of both Target and Kmart, confirmed the future business direction over the next few years. I certainly believe online (sales) will be a very, very important part of the Target business and we are certainly investing in the growth of online for Target, he said. It s already a very profitable channel for us, and we think it has a lot of potential to grow.

Protesters have clashed with police outside a lunch attended by Prime Minister Scott Morrison in Perth on Wednesday.
The group of about 40 activists were surrounded by a heavy police presence as they protested several issues including the governmentâs response to climate change and its treatment of women.
However, no arrests have been made.
The lunch, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA at the State Reception Centre in Kings Park, was part of Mr Morrisonâs first visit to the state since October 2019.
