Tongue on the Post festival kicks off online today

The Tongue on the Post folk music festival is good to go. The 14 and 3/4 edition will be virtual, following approval from AHS to livestream the performances at the Medalta Kilns. Rob Pape, Executive director of the Medicine Hat Folk Music Club says they have been given specific guidelines to follow, which includes a bare-minimum production crew. It’s also a provincial show this year, with all artists coming from Alberta. The headliners include Flint & Feather and 2020 Juno award-winning Indigenous Artist of the Year Celeigh Cardinal. Pape says the folk music club is excited to share live music. “We just want to be able to put this out to our community I think everybody needs it, everybody wants it and it’s a great opportunity. There are not too many places putting on live music right now, especially not a six-day music festival, so we definitely feel privileged to have this opportunity.”
