This Delaware Town Has Experienced the Ultimate Revival

Once home to a toxic industrial plant, Yorklyn has reshaped into a bustling Delaware destination perfect for tourists and locals alike.
More than a decade after National Vulcanized Fiber declared bankruptcy and shuttered its last remaining plant along Red Clay Creek in Yorklyn, the fortunes of this quiet village in northern Delaware, no longer tied to a toxic industry, now turn on the pocketbooks of day tourists and urban exiles eager for an escape out to the country.

SASKATOON As Saskatoon’s plunge into the deep freeze continues, community support programs are working overtime, helping the city’s most vulnerable stay safe and warm. “I know right now we have some teams that are starting to burn out but we’re doing the best we can to get through to Sunday and when this is over, we’ll breathe a very deep sigh of relief,” said Lyn Brown, executive director with Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP). This past weekend, Brown said, the organization relocated 60 people in Saskatoon to hotel rooms and other shelters in the city, when temperatures plummeted as low as -41 C.

The third season of
Cobra Kai is now streaming on Netflix and you might notice a tribute to a late actor at the end of the first episode.
Rob Garrison, who played Tommy in the movie
Karate Kid back in 1984 and reprised his role in season two of
Cobra Kai, died in September 2019.
Garrison was just 59 when he passed away after being hospitalized for a month due to kidney and liver failure.
At the end of the first episode of season three, a tribute reads “1960-2019″ along with the note, “Cobra Kai never dies.”
William Zabka, who plays Johnny Lawrence on the show, wrote a tribute on Instagram on the one-year anniversary of Rob’s death. He wrote at the time, “Yesterday marked one year since we lost our brother & OG #CobraKai Rob (‘Tommy’) Garrison. So grateful we had the chance to reunite the characters that brought us together so many years ago. He was extremely proud of this episode - and like a true Cobra he put his heart into it & left it all on the mat! Hi
